Paragon Group 1, Ltd. Architects / Planners / Designers

PGI offers an individual approach to every project that enters it’s offices.  This is achieved by defining every client’s needs and objectives, analyzing the facts pertaining to the project, and working with all professionals involved.  Architectural solutions are presented to reflect specific requirements for the client’s new or existing facility.  These solutions meet the assigned budget and necessary time frame constraints.

What We Do

Architectural Design

The background of PGI’s lead principal is strong in the actual working concept of architecture.  We have a comprehensive understanding of state, county, and local codes, variances, and laws as they pertain to construction and building environments.  Glenn Dailey’s service in the Illinois Air National Guard as Assistant Base Civil Engineer gives him a practical understanding of the basis for all construction.

Our projects are presented to the client in phases.  The first phase begins with basics such as a plat of survey and exterior elevations.  Next, floor plans are generated, all the time keeping up to date meetings with the client in the forefront to insure the project is moving in the direction they desire.  After final code search and review are complete, work on the final construction documents begin.  When they are complete, they are signed and sealed by Glenn who is a registered architect in Illinois.

Our Expertise

  • Residential

Residential architecture is the art and science of designing and constructing homes that cater to the unique needs, preferences, and lifestyles of individuals and families. It encompasses a diverse range of styles, from traditional to contemporary, each reflecting cultural influences, regional contexts, and technological advancements. Whether crafting cozy cottages, modernist masterpieces, or sustainable dwellings, residential architects strive to create functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces that foster comfort, functionality, and personal expression. From the layout and materials to the incorporation of natural light and outdoor living spaces, every aspect of residential architecture is meticulously planned to enhance the quality of life for occupants while seamlessly integrating with the surrounding environment. Whether building a dream home from scratch or renovating an existing structure, residential architecture transforms spaces into havens that reflect the unique identities and aspirations of those who call them home.

  • Commercial

Commercial architecture is the dynamic field dedicated to designing and constructing spaces tailored to the needs of businesses and organizations. From sleek office towers and bustling retail centers to innovative hospitality venues and functional industrial complexes, commercial architects combine creativity with practicality to create environments that support productivity, customer engagement, and brand identity. Every aspect of commercial architecture, from layout and aesthetics to sustainability and accessibility, is carefully considered to optimize functionality and user experience. Whether revitalizing urban landscapes or envisioning cutting-edge corporate campuses, commercial architects play a vital role in shaping the built environment where people work, shop, dine, and interact. By integrating innovative design solutions, state-of-the-art technology, and sustainable practices, commercial architecture not only enhances the bottom line but also enriches the fabric of communities and fosters economic growth.

  • Enviromental

Environmental architecture, also known as sustainable architecture or green architecture, is a design approach that prioritizes minimizing the environmental impact of buildings while enhancing occupants' well-being. By integrating sustainable materials, energy-efficient systems, and innovative design strategies, environmental architecture aims to reduce resource consumption, carbon emissions, and waste production throughout the entire lifecycle of a building. From passive solar design to green roofs and natural ventilation, these eco-conscious principles not only mitigate environmental harm but also create healthier, more resilient spaces for people to live, work, and thrive in harmony with nature.

Embracing environmental architecture is not just a choice for a better future; it's a commitment to creating spaces that coexist harmoniously with the planet.
